Hello! My name is Ingrid Mira. I am the Targeted Student Population (TSP)/ Categorical Program Advisor (CPA) Coordinator at Vanalden Ave Elementary.
In this position I have various duties such as providing professional development, support Master Plan program implementation for English Language Learners (ELL’s), collaborate with school staff to ensure that intervention services are aligned with School Plan for Student Achievement, conduct demonstration lessons and observations to improve instruction for school wide population. I also coordinate with our community representative to provide parent involvement workshop activities.
My educational career started as a classroom assistant for Glendale Unified for 4 years. I have been a classroom teacher for 13 years. I graduated with a B.A. in Child Development and Liberal Studies from California State University Northridge (CSUN). I also attained a M.A. in Leadership and Policy - Professional Administrative Service Credential from CSUN. I have taught a Science Enrichment class at CSUN for the past 5 years.
I enjoy working with children and helping them reach for their dreams through their education. I believe every child should be valued and treated with respect. An education should empower a child and help him or her make a positive contribution to our world.
