Meet The Teacher: Ms. Vartanian

I am thrilled that you will be in my class this year! We are going to learn so many new things together in 4th grade. This is my seventh year working in a school. I have worked with kindergarten, first grade, second grade, and fourth grade, but this is my very first year teaching at Vanalden Avenue Elementary School. Fourth is going to be so much fun. We get to learn about the Gold Rush in Social Studies, Electricity in Science, Geometry and Angles in Math, and lots more.

In my classroom we are a family and we will be learning how to work together. We will be spending a lot of time together so it is important to treat each other with respect, kindness, and compassion. I know that each of you think and learn differently. It is my job as your teacher to help you grow as a learner and as a person.

About me:

I graduated from California State University, Northridge (CSUN) two years ago with my Bachelors in Liberal Studies. I continued my schooling at CSUN and got my teaching credential in Elemnetary Education in December of 2016. Outside of school and work I love to bake anything from cookies to cakes. I am also very active and enjoy rock climbing and pilates. I spend my free time with my family, my finace, and my dog (chewy).

I can’t wait to get to know all of you and your families better throughout the year. Parents will get much more information about our classroom during Back to School Night on August 29th 2017.
