Hello Students and Parents,
Welcome to Room 24. I look forward to meeting you and your child. You have chosen an amazing school! Vanalden Avenue Elementary offers a cohesive standards-based education. I'm honored to be working among excellent and supportive teachers. I've been teaching in Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) for more than 20 years in general education and special education. During the mid 90's, I studied abroad in Spain and succeeded in becoming bilingual in Spanish. I live in the San Fernando Valley with my husband and two daughters. During my personal time, I enjoy going to the movies, exercising, traveling, and spending time with my family. It is with great pleasure to be able to teach your children the love of learning, to make smart decisions, and to try their 'personal best'!
