A/R Ending Soon!

The last day to check out books will be on May 22....with the last day to turn in books on May 25.  Please encourage your student to do all assigned reading to reach that next level of certification before finishing this school year!

How are fossils exposed through weathering and erosion?  Investigating with chocolate chip cookies gave us a better understanding...and a delicious snack, too!
Last Thursday, we went to the Science Lab and continued our exploration of balance and motion.  Would you believe we could balance a pencil on the tip using wire and counterweights?  We had lots of fun learning!

Glow Night on May 18!

Have you bought a ticket yet?  It is just a week away and I am looking forward to an evening of fun!  Stop by the school office if you need further information!
 
The PTA is requesting donations of lottery tickets and gift cards to be used in the silent auction during Glow Night.  Please send donations with your student or drop any contributions off in the office.  
 
This fun family event will include games, food, and lots of fun for all!  I am planning on being there so have your students try to find me!  As I love carnival games, maybe that is where I will be!  I will be at the duck pond, as rubber ducks are my eldest daughter’s favorite!   See you there!!!

International Dance Celebration

We are looking forward to our next performance...the International Dance Celebration!  This wonderful show will be on May 31 in the morning and will involve most of the classes at Vanalden.  I hope you will be able to join us for this memorable event!
